We have been living in Charlottesville, Virginia for the past two and a half years while Scott attends medical school at the University of Virginia. Scott is usually studying, so Brighton and I have become pretty creative on keeping ourselves busy. As you all know, I was pretty upset when we found out that we were moving because we have the most amazing family and friends a person could ask for. Its taken a little while to get use to, but we love it thanks to very special friends. Life on the east coast is very different but fun. It is so weird to drive only a couple of hours and pass through several states. It is definitely georgous out here and there is plenty to do. We have gone up to Manhatten several times to visit Scott's brother and we go to D.C. and Richmond quite a bit too. It's also nice because the beach is only an hour and a half away. The history out here is amazing and the campus is beautiful, it was designed by Thomas Jefferson. For the most part eveything in this town is redbrick, black shutters and white columns, very colonial style. As you all know, Brighton and I travel back to Utah every six weeks to work for a few days. It is so great and we are loving it. So for now we get the best of both worlds.

Girls Trip

I have to say that I love my friends in Virginia. We decided that we needed to take a little girls trip up to D.C. before we all headed off in different directions. We stayed at Kat's house in D.C. and had such a blast. We mostly shopped, ate and laughed. It was so much fun. I am so lucky to have met such amazing girls. I love you guys.

Mexico

We headed down to Cancun Mexico with some of our favorite friends Ryan and Cheryl. We were celebrating Ryan and Scott graduating Medical School. We had such a fabulous time. The whole vacation we spent eating, lounging in the sun, sleeping and eating some more. IT WAS GREAT DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It has been a very tough road but we have had a lot of fun along the way. I am so proud of Scott. I really don't know how he does it.

We matched!!!

I know Can You Believe it!

I know I have said this before but things are different now. My life has changed drastically. I went from running around with my head cut off to actually having a little time to do some things that I would like to do. Why? Well for some of you that don't know we finished medical school in Virginia and we moved to Los Angeles CA where Scott is doing his Orthopedic Residency for five years. He is gone all of the time and gone a lot of nights and that is where this hopefully will fit in. The girls are in bed and Scott is gone of course so here we are.
I have really tried to keep a little notebook for myself of hilarious things my girls say to me everyday but I have decided it would be easier to just log it in here. So here we go.
Yesterday Bri and I were coming up the stairs in our building and the wind was blowing just right to carry the scent of some women. Bri didn't realize that so she said to me mom you smell so good and I told her that it was the perfume of that women and she said no I think it's just the fresh country breeze.

First I have to tell you that my girls are in love with my Dad. Bri has come up with some Crazy name for him Kiki Palmer? Where the heck did she get that? Who knows.

Today Chezie (17 months) brought me the phone and said Bompa (grandpa). I thought that was the cutest thing ever that she put together that she wanted to talk to him so she went and got the phone. I love my girls more than life itself. They really are the most amazing spirits and everyday I look at them wondering why I was so blessed to get them as my girls.

Build A Bear

Brighton has been dying to go to Build A Bear so we decided that was her reward for throwing the sippy's away. She had so much fun picking out the bear and the outfit she wanted. It was such a fun day.

The big day has come

The day has finally come to throw away the sippy's. To some this may not be a big deal but if you know Bri she is obsessed! Every ten minutes she begs for a full sippy of juice or chocolate milk. This is not ok. If she doesn't get it she acts like she is going to die.

I don't know about your christmas but guitar hero world tour took over our lives this Christmas.

Scott's darling Family

My darling Family

A fabulous day in the snow

Santa

Brighton was obsessed with Santa this year. We had to take her to the mall to see him about every other day. Don't get me wrong, it was darling but the whole month of December even after Christmas she would beg ten times a day to go to the mall to see Santa.

Ok were going to do a little and by little I mean ALOT of back tracking!

Cheznie Beth 6 Lbs 19 inches

So, Cheznie Beth decided at 4:50 am on the 24th of February that she had had enough of this whole prego thing and that she should come out at 35 weeks and 5 days. Angie went into labor and the delivery went pretty smoothly. When she came out she was doing pretty well but she wasn't real active and didn't have strong cries. She had APGAR scores of 8 and 9 and after a little suctioning and some blow-by oxygen she was doing fine. It had been about 20 minutes and Ang was holding her skin to skin to keep her warm and stimulated. When the nurse went to reposition her I noticed she was a little blue looking. We put her on the table and she quit breathing turned literally purple and dropped her arms. I grabbed the oxygen mask and the nurse started bagging her while i got help. The NICU team was there in seconds and she was back breathing on her own and doing fine. So.......after trying to die once they decided to keep her on the monitor for 4 hours to access her. She was grunting a little (auto peeping) and had a few apneic events where her oxygen levels dropped. They where a little concerned so she went down to the NICU and was put on a CPAP respirator (like what they use for sleep apnea), started an IV and put in a OG tube to feed her gut. She steadily improved over night and in the morning they took her of the respirator and pulled her OG tube. They kept her there to monitor her blood sugar and she did fine. So finally this afternoon she came back up to the nursery and she is back in the room with Ang. She is now eating and doing great.

Thanks to my fabulous sister-in-law
